Southwest continues to enhance its top-of-the-industry benefits package for employees. In 2006 Southwest became one of the few contractors to provide long-term disability insurance for all its employees and to provide the option for short-term disability insurance. 

In 2007 Southwest increased its already generous provision toward the cost of monthly health insurance premiums of employees.  Medical, life, dental, vision and disability insurance are available to Southwest workers.  In addition, they may participate in a top-notch 401(k) plan and take advantage of Southwest’s membership in the Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union.  Continuing education incentives also help employees develop their training and skill sets.
